Start de-cluttering your apartment for spring.

It's time to start organizing your apartment and bringing in the fresh feeling of spring.

I know that many of you are so happy that spring is finally here, and you can finally put on your flip flops and toss your coat to the side. As you start to pull out all of your summer clothes, you will need to find away to properly store your winter clothes until that season rolls around again. Check out these tips to help you de-clutter your Irvine apartment for spring.

  • Go around to each closet and empty its contents. You can do this room by room or take all items from each closet and make one big pile. From there, make three separate piles: Stuff you’ll keep, Stuff that’s trash, Stuff to sell/donate
  • If you find your “keep” pile growing excessively larger than the other two piles, you need to ask yourself if you’re being objective in your decluttering. Chances are you’re holding onto items you only think you need to keep, but rarely use.
  • Now that you’ve taken everything out and sorted it (keeping only one pile of the three), it’s time to put everything away. Organize your belongings in a sensible manner.

Hopefully, these tips can help you organize your apartment without feeling overwhelmed. Do you plan to bring in a little bit of spring with new apartment decor? Share your spring decorating tips with us in a comment.
